Established in 2006, Bhagwan Jagannath Mandir Sewa Samiti Yamunotri Teerath Himalaya ( Bhagwan Jaganath Foundation) was born because an extremely influential family in village Kuthnaur could not stand the lack of quality education and health care in their village and in the nearby villages in the valleys of Uttarakhand.

The goal was simple, educate the children in rural India to empower them to uplift their communities and to overcome the wealth and health disparity.

Since they were the most affluent family of the village, they have been running the organization absolutely self-funded for so many years.

They have overcome innumerable hurdles ever since and that has led to the founding family facing immense hardships and hence after 18 years of running it on their own, they and thousands of children dependant on them are now in dire need of public contribution.
